Orientation Flight
Visitors to Squadron meetings are invited to participate in our three week Orientation Program. This program provides a "taste" of what they can expect if they decide to join the program and gives them time to consider whether or not CAP is right for them. They learn a little about drill, customs and courtesies, the uniforms, activities, classes and other elements of being a Cadet. They are shown videos and are given information that will help them in making their decision. During this time, Senior Officers of the Squadron also take a few minutes to speak to both them and their parents and answer their questions and concerns about membership, while explaining the obligations and expectations of it. After three weeks of attending meetings as a guest, prospective members are given the opportunity to join. New members take the Cadet Oath and are transferred into Charlie Flight for their basic training. |
